Man(or Woman)’s best friend for 25 years running is the Labrador Retriever. The American Kennel Club says that, in the U.S., the Labrador Retreiver has ranked as the most popular breed for 25 consecutive years. The figures have been tracked since 1884 and are based on the previous year’s registration of more than 175 different dog breeds.
